In a few quick, easy steps, you can list your vehicle and enjoy the visibility offered by the package you choose. Feel free to contact one of our team members if you have any questions about lease transfers or for help filling out the online form. Our team members are at your service 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. via email, phone and even SMS.

We have also created the Guide for Lease Transfer. We invite you to look over this guide that offers sound advice and explains the steps to take to transfer your lease contract when you reach an agreement with a buyer.

1

Create your ad

When you click the Register your lease tab, you'll first have to select the package that meets your needs. You'll then be redirected to a form, where you’ll fill out information about you and the vehicle to be transferred. Just follow the instructions and fill out the appropriate boxes. Don't forget to include an email address you check regularly and put recent and appealing photos of your vehicle. Once the vehicle listing is filled out, you'll be redirected to PayPal's secure portal to pay for your ad, according to the package you selected. Your ad will be active for 3 to 6 months, depending on the package you select. Then, your car will be seen by the thousands of buyers who visit ByeByeLease.ca each month.

2

Manage your ad

You can change the information in your ad at any time by going to the My account section. Once the ad is activated, you'll have the option to add several photos and to change the details that appear on your vehicle listing. This section also lets you track viewing statistics about your ad.

3

Communicate with potential buyers

When a potential buyer fills out the information request form for your vehicle, you get an email that includes:
  • The person's name
  • Their message
To make sure you don't miss a potential opportunity, we advise that you check your email and voice mail regularly. With email requests, you'll have the option to answer directly or through "My account" in the "Messages" section.

4

Transfer the lease

You have to transfer your lease with the help of your automobile dealership. If you haven't already looked at the Guide for Lease Transfer, we recommend you do so now. It explains the lease-transfer process, including the credit check of the potential buyer and the negotiation of transfer details including vehicle inspection. When the buyer's credit check is done, the automobile dealer will guide you through the transfer process and the administrative formalities. You will have to fill out and sign the documents provided by your dealership. The leasing company's fees must also be paid. There you go! Done! You're now released from your lease.
